Our Story
Born From a Broken System
Best Public Adjusters LLC was founded in 2004 in the aftermath of one of the most destructive hurricane seasons in Florida history. Our founder, Michael Torres, had spent years working as a staff adjuster for a major insurance carrier — and what he witnessed troubled him deeply.
Homeowners who had paid premiums faithfully for decades were receiving settlements that covered a fraction of their actual losses. Not because of fraud or bad policies — but because they had no one in their corner who truly understood the claims process.
He left the carrier side and founded Best Public Adjusters LLC with a single mission: to be the advocate that every property owner deserves. Two decades later, that mission has not changed.
